The Club will be accepting applications for the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Course in May 2015. Participants must be at least 15 years of age and possess average swimming ability. Candidates will learn lifesaving techniques in and out of the water including CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid Basics. Upon successful completion of the course, students may apply to work at local homeowners associations, health clubs, and municipal pools such as Cities and Counties. Lifeguarding is an excellent summer job for high school and college students. The Course will be taught at the Stockton Kids Club Headquarters and heated pools in the area.
Course Schedule: Saturday May 16, Sunday May 17, & Monday May 18th. The cost is $225.
Summer Camp, the most popular program at the Boys and Girls Clubs, fills up every season and there is a waiting list. Day-campers enjoy a variety of classes every hour on the hour. Activities include Swimming Lessons, Recreational Swim, Arts & Crafts, Sports, Dance Classes, Drum Classes, Mentoring Sessions, and Science Classes. Our facility includes an Arcade Room, a Learning Center, a Computer Lab, a Dance Room, and a Video Game Room. Guest speakers, guest performers, and field trips will be included. Additionally, we offer our annual Youth Adventure Camp to club members that wish to experience the outdoors and learn about nature. Children create some of the best memories in their lifetime at a traditional outdoor summer camp facility.
